We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer to lead the design and implementation of innovative mechanical systems within a variety of building projects. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical design process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and optimizing energy efficiency across all projects. You will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions that meet client expectations and project deadlines.

Your key responsibilities will include conducting detailed calculations and analyses to inform system design, producing technical specifications and documentation, and managing the performance of junior engineers. You will also be tasked with conducting site inspections and ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality. Additionally, you will represent the engineering team in client meetings, providing expert advice and guidance on mechanical systems and their integration within building designs.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with significant experience in mechanical building services design. A strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire safety systems is essential. You should be proficient in relevant design software and hold a professional engineering qualification. Excellent communication and leadership skills are crucial, as you will be expected to mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative working environment.
